Essential Duties & Responsibilities:<br>
•	Manage the warehouse operations to include: staffing, a remote 3rd party warehouse relationship, efficiency improvements, planning for seasonal demands, improved quality control and future planning.<br>
•	Manage all supplier relationships and purchasing, including those for packaging, shipping, seeds, bulbs and live plants.  <br>
•	Daily coordination (seasonally) with key vendors.  <br>
•	Coordinate needed logistics for seasonal spikes in shipping, as well as the shipping of perishable products.<br>
•	Create/improve system for tracking inventory.  <br>

Westaff is recruiting on their behalf for a Commercial Account Manager! The focus of this position involves providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to customers and producers in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing commercial accounts. <br>

This direct hire opportunity is located in Burlington, VT. <br>
<br>
Compensation: $35,000-$55,000 and a generous benefits package. <br>
<br>
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES <br>
•Service Commercial Lines accounts as assigned. <br>
•Collect premiums per established agency procedures. <br>
•At the direction of producer, prepare company submissions for new business and renewal quotes and prepare proposals of insurance for new Commercial Lines clients. <br>
•Review existing accounts to provide recommendations for upgrades in coverage and additional lines of insurance. <br>
•Initiate, screen and prepare endorsement requests for Commercial Lines clients. <br>
•Prepare and process cancellations when required. <br>
•Prepare and process all requests for certificates of insurance as required within 24 hours of request. <br>
•Review all applications, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy. <br>
•Invoice all premium bearing transactions. <br>
•Notify producer of any unpaid audits and request appropriate actions be made according to agency collections procedure. <br>
•Prepare account summaries as required including historical premium, experience mod projections and claims analysis. <br>
•Act as back-up for contract surety bonds. <br>
•Service Commercial Lines accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing E&O exposures. <br>
•Maintain suspense items in a timely manner. <br>
•Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system. <br>
•Keep producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts. <br>
•Keep informed regarding industry information and marketplace changes to continuously improve knowledge and performance. <br>
•Develop positive working relationships with clients and company personnel. <br>
•Work as a team with other staff members to achieve production and agency goals. <br>
•Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management. <br>

•Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and experience with commercial insurance <br>
•An active agent’s license <br>
•Working knowledge of the full suite of MS applications <br>

WHAT YOU DO 
<br>

Oversee merchandise presentation and ensure all daily operations are consistent with our bookselling culture, world-class customer service focus and merchandising standards. 
<br>

Assist store management in maintaining a profitable store by helping booksellers deliver superior customer service. 
<br>

<br>
Assist in the interviewing, training, development and evaluation of booksellers, while fostering an employee-centric environment. 
<br>

<br>
Responsible for the store and staff when fulfilling the role of manager-on-duty.

WHAT’S REQUIRED 
<br>

<br>
At least two years of management experience, preferably in a retail environment. 
<br>

<br>
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the competition to identify opportunities and drive sales.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish focused direction and execute the workload. 
<br>

<br>
Work on the selling floor, requiring physical activity. 
<br>

Flexible schedule-our stores are open daily, which requires early morning, evening, weekend and holiday availability.

Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy (MMLA) <br>Summer Language Immersion Program is now accepting applications for the following:<br>- Arabic, Chinese, French, German or Spanish Language Directors <br><br>Language Directors are part of a community that creates an intensive four-week immersion program for middle and high school students each summer. Located on two college campuses, MMLA offers students the opportunity to study Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, German or Spanish with skilled language educators. Language Directors are senior administrators that work in close consultation with the Site Managers and Director to implement and appropriately adapt the MMLA curriculum, guidelines, and policies. They lead a team of experienced educators and Residential Advisors to create a unique immersion academic program. <br><br>MMLA follows the traditions and success of the Middlebury College immersion programs and the Monterey Institute of International Studies curriculum development expertise. All staff and students adopt the Middlebury Language Pledge&copy;, modified as needed for the student age group and language  level, so that a full-immersion environment is created. <br><br>Language Directors are charged with creating a positive learning environment that is diverse in activities and experiences. They are in charge of all programmatic events that occur in their academies. They are enthusiastic and supportive individuals who can appropriately task their teams to plan and implement academic and non-academic daily activities for students. They are proactive individuals that can troubleshoot and work well with others to solve problems, always with goal to maintain a high quality language summer program. They ensure that their language team is following MMLA curriculum, policies and guidelines.<br><br>Specific pre-season responsibilities include: <br>- Required participation in the January Administrators Retreat<br>- Review resumes, interview, and recommend to hire new language teachers and residential advisors (the MMLA office hires returning staff members)<br>- Review and become familiar with MMLA curriculum  <br>- Review previous year&rsquo;s evaluations and results <br>- Moderate two pre-summer on-line discussions with Language Faculty and Residential Advisors <br>- Review and approve (MMLA office pre-plans) afternoon activity and evening assembly calendars, field trips, and language specific space-use plans <br>- In coordination with Site Managers, assign language teachers with teaching levels and electives <br>- In coordination with Site Managers, approve and/or facilitate the scheduling of speakers and performers<br>- Review pre-placement forms and make preliminary placement decisions <br>Specific summer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br>- Work in close cooperation with the Assistant Director, and other administrators, to ensure the success of all aspects of the academy<br>- Supervise faculty and staff in specific language academy<br>- Ensure the quality of the academic program<br>- Lead daily faculty meetings <br>- Ensure that afternoon activity and evening assembly plans are carried out effectively<br>- Lead orientation training for all academic matters within their language <br>- Handle all disciplinary actions in areas related to academics, such as violations of the language pledge or academic dishonesty<br>- Communicate with parents concerning academic matters<br>- Ensure that quality student reports are being written and that deadlines are kept<br>- Keep track of the academy budget <br><br>Language Directors should command a high degree of spoken and written proficiency in Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, German or Spanish; they should have extensive experience working with middle or high school students; and should have leadership experience.   This is a residential position. All employees will be provided room and board and will have scheduled time off each day and week. All employees pay for their travel to and from program locations. Westaff is recruiting on their behalf for a Commercial Account Manager! The focus of this position involves providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to customers and producers in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing commercial accounts. <br>
<br>
This direct hire opportunity is located in Burlington, VT. <br>
<br>
Compensation: $35,000-$55,000 and a generous benefits package. <br>
<br>
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES <br>
•Service Commercial Lines accounts as assigned. <br>
•Collect premiums per established agency procedures. <br>
•At the direction of producer, prepare company submissions for new business and renewal quotes and prepare proposals of insurance for new Commercial Lines clients. <br>
•Review existing accounts to provide recommendations for upgrades in coverage and additional lines of insurance. <br>
•Initiate, screen and prepare endorsement requests for Commercial Lines clients. <br>
•Prepare and process cancellations when required. <br>
•Prepare and process all requests for certificates of insurance as required within 24 hours of request. <br>
•Review all applications, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy. <br>
•Invoice all premium bearing transactions. <br>
•Notify producer of any unpaid audits and request appropriate actions be made according to agency collections procedure. <br>
•Prepare account summaries as required including historical premium, experience mod projections and claims analysis. <br>
•Act as back-up for contract surety bonds. <br>
•Service Commercial Lines accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing E&O exposures. <br>
•Maintain suspense items in a timely manner. <br>
•Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system. <br>
•Keep producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts. <br>
•Keep informed regarding industry information and marketplace changes to continuously improve knowledge and performance. <br>
•Develop positive working relationships with clients and company personnel. <br>
•Work as a team with other staff members to achieve production and agency goals. <br>
•Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management. <br>
