The hours would be different than any other daycare/babysitter you're familiar with. It's closer to a part-time nanny or "Big Sister" idea! I own a small business which still requires me to work a couple hours some mornings and evenings. With the flexible hours however, it's perfect for someone looking for care between the hours of 9am-9pm. My daughter is 27 months old so our ideal partner would be in the age range of 9 months to 3.5 years old. This is negotiable, however, as we're most intersted in finding a good friend for my daughter.



If this is something you're interested in, please email a little about your situation! I'm happy to provide as much information as you want, but a quick idea of how we do things is this: We "work" together after breakfast and then return for snack time. Depending on the day, we have mental enrichment time, play day, field trips, or excursions. These all include arts and crafts, library trips, story time, playing in the park, dressing up for make-believe, visiting local farms, and much more! Depending how your child learns/plays, we can tailor our plans to fit them nicely. Lunch precedes nap/quiet time followed by another fun indoor/outdoor activity. Each day is different, but the main idea is to keep enough routine in our schedule that the kids are comfortable! After our activity time, which varies from gymnastics/dance to chasing chickens in the backyard, we have a calming time such as reading circle, coloring, toy creation, etc. It's often later in the day at this point and another snack is desired. Before dinner, we have one last physical activty to help keep little feet in one place at the dinner table. After supper, we usually watch a Dora episode or some other similar show. This can be moved to another time if you prefer for your child not to have any TV (my daughter never used to watch it but after being in daycare she really likes Dora)! Typically, Mondays are "Outdoor Outfitter's" where we play, go for a walk/ride, sled, make a foliage notebook, etc outside. Tuesdays are free days or field trips. Wednesdays are "Home Economics" day where we make food or create items such as toys, shirts, potholders, etc. I obviously do the sewing at this stage but the children love picking out the fabrics, helping stuff items, decorate, and then playing with their creations! Thursdays are free days or field trips days as well. Friday is "Movie Madness" day where we act out a movie we like, watch a certain movie, or make our own! Sometimes my daughter prefers to turn it into arts and crafts and just draw her favorite characters. As long as they're having fun, we try to let them make their schedule.



I could write all day, but it'll be easiest to email, talk, and meet for everyone's comfort. I've been CPR/first aid certified for infants, toddlers, and adults though I need to take the certification course again for this year. We do have two dogs and cats in our home (1 big foster dog, 1 small permanent dog) so children with allergies may have a hard time. We also have peanut products and meat for snacks/lunch/dinner. I have a clean, safe driving record and reliable car. You're more than welcome to provide your own carseat or we can install our extra seat that's used for trips to the Grandparent's house (nothing fancy and has never been in any type of accident!).



We can discuss the daily or weekly rate depending what you're looking for. A base idea, would be $100/week part-time which could be M-F 10-4/1-7/3-9 (or 3 days), etc. If you need more "regular" daycare hours such as 7-6 M-F it'll be $150. Snacks and lunches can be provided unless you have special things you prefer to send along. My son loves to play. He loves the outdoors, trucks, playing ball, and going to the park. Hes definately a boy. He likes to play with others and is very good with pets (not sure small dogs, but big dogs and cats hes great with). He is not a TV watcher so just putting him in the TV wont work, he WILL get into something. We would love to find someone with another child around his age for him to play with. Also, someone who cooks is good, hes a big boy, but we don't give him snacks throughout the day. We're hoping for someone who will play with him, and treat him like they would their own child.
