My dog is a 10lb Dachshund. I would like a companion for her. The problem is that she is a little snobby about who her friends are. The breed of dog is not important to me, so long as it as small. I think she prefers male Doxies, but she plays with a female Morkie a lot, so who knows. She's a smart dog, so maybe she needs a friend that can 1 up her. I would prefer that the new dog is potty trained and spayed or neutered; however, if my dog is happy with her potential companion, I could deal with the training and the spay/neuter cost. I don't have a problem paying a rehoming fee, but I don't want to drive too far to meet because every car trip has been a disappointment, and I don't know how many more hours of driving I can take just to end up leaving without a dog. Abby is a 1 year and 1 month old black lab/golden retreiver mix and about 60 pounds.. She looks purebreed Black lab, theres no trace that she is a mix breed. She has had her first puppy shots and is current on her flea medicane. She is not fixed but i don;t plan on having her used for breeding. Abby has to go to a house, there is no apartments about it. She is in an apartment right now and this is not enough room for a lab who has tons and tons of never ending energy. She needs to go to a house that has plenty of land for her to run on and enjoy. She knows basic commands sit, lay down, shake, catch (she is extremely good at it, its her best talent). She loves to swim and go on long walks, she needs the exercise to help her calm down. She is a very active dog who needs alot of time outside but not be hooked up outside all day, although i think she would love that. She eats like crazy, she will eat a whole 38 pound bag of dog food, so you have to watch how much you give her. She does okay with cats, she tends to try and play with them but she doesnt realize her size, but she wont attack them when playing. She is really good with other dogs, but yet again she doesnt know her own strength when playing off leash. She does do good off leash with no other dogs around. Kids she is good with but she does tend to get overly excited and jump, this is a very hard habit to break her off but shes slowley gettng it. So kids under 10 would not be the best for her. She does need a stern voice to listen too, baby talk makes her very excited and she will jump around in circles. She has been getting a little food aggerssive lately with our kitten who tends to think that all food has to be shared with her. She nips at the kitten until the kitten backs off then abby just goes back to eating. She is a very happy dog, she does not potty in the house, she will run to the door when she has to potty. She does bark alot when she thinks im home or when she thinks someone is at the door and she will continue to bark until she sees who is at the door or sees you. Her favorite thing to do is go outside and play catch. She is an amazing dog and i have had her since she was 8 weeks, but have been seeing her since she was 2 weeks old. I do not have the time for her anymore, I am at my boyfriends house alot and cant take her with me cause she does get a little car sick (mostly drools, i leave the window down it seems to calm her down from puking.) its just not fair for her to be locked up for 8 hours a day, and then more when im not home. It just the best thing for her right now, and its going to be very hard for me to let go of her as i have grown a special bond with her. I want to make sure she goes to an amazing home that is perfect for her, I am asking a small rehoming fee of 50 dollars. I am interested in finding a loving home for my 2 adult male cats immediately. The one criteria is that we would like them to go as a set to the same home. They have both been spade and all of their shots are up to date. They are fun loving cats and are biological brothers. They love to cuddle and play. They are great with kids and we also have 2 dogs that they play with often so if you have other pets, they get along with just about any animal. They are a 1 yr and 3 month old. They are not aggressive in any manner other than wanting to cuddle with you :) They are house trained and have never had an accident in our home since we have had them. They are flea free and they do not spray or scratch up furniture. We kept in Vermont tradition and began calling them Cabot and Dakin.

Because of a leasing dispute, we must find homes for them promptly. We love them dearly and us as well as our 2 children have cried just about every day that we have known they must find a new home. They are more than animals to us, they are a part of our family and we want to find a home that will love them and appreciate how truly special they are. I will include all of the items that they currently have. I am not charging a fee or anything because the way we see it, love can't be bought or sold; it is felt. Cabot and Dakin are not mere property to be profited off of or discarded, they are living beings who deserve to be loved and to be able to give the tons of love they have to make others happy too.

This handsome boy is Hunter, a 2 year old Cane Corso Mastiff. Hunter weighs in at 90 pounds but could use to gain another 20 pounds. He has a docked tail and someone cropped his ears much too short in the attempt to make him look fierce. This boy is anything but a big mush. I rescued Hunter from the Brooklyn shelter and he is staying in a foster home with Melissa and Jerry. He has settled in wonderfully. Hunter is housebroken and is very loving and affectionate to his "people" as you can see by his pictures they've taken, the typical mastiff mush. He walks well on a leash and does well in the car. He knows the commands Sit, Down and Paw. He knows to sit and wait for his food. He sleeps on a dog bed at night and I believe he may also be crate trained (although his foster family is not using one.) Hunter would do best in a home without small children as it appears he has never been socialized with them. He would be fine in a home with children over the age of 12. I would like to find him a home with an experienced mastiff owner that will continue his socialization and training. Hunter has no food or dog aggression. The best canine companion for him would be a female or submissive male.

Spotten: Lost Shepard Mix (Killington)

This morning at about 8:30am there was a German Shepard mix walking along Route 4 between Bridgewater and the Killington Gondola . He had long, reddish and black hair (more reddish than a standard black and tan German Shepard) with a black "saddle" marking on his back and floppy ears. I wasn't able to take a picture of it, but the picture below looks a bit similar to the dog I saw.

I tried to get a hold of it several times but the dog wouldn't come any closer than ten feet from me -not mean, just wary and scared. Any time I walked toward it it would dart away and I didn't want it to run out into traffic. It was walking toward the the Gondola. He or she was wearing a collar (I think it was black) and I could see a tag on it. I hope it's ok and that someone can catch it and reunite it with its family. :(
